LPA Breakfast of Champions

Just got back from the LPA Real Estate Breakfast in Marbella — packed room, great energy. A few tweaks needed though: tighter agendas, and maybe skip the 30-minute Spanish intro before the English session — even if it is the mayor 🙃 Mayor tackled the proposed 100% tax – called it a smokescreen and urged agents to reassure foreign buyers it’s not happening. Swedish Ketchup Effect. Coming?

The Swedish buyer market in Spain has seen a significant decrease since 2021, but the outlook is positive. The Swedes declined from almost 5% of the foreign buyer market in 2021 in Spain to less than half that in 2023 (2.2%) and 2024 (2.2%).
