The Fairmont Residences La Hacienda, Costa del Sol
The Fairmont Residences La Hacienda project launched in June 10, 2026, on the Costa del Sol, located between Sotogrande and Alcaidesa. This project is the first branded residences initiative by Fairmont in Europe, owned and developed by ActivumSG, operated by Accor Group, and commercialised in partnership with Colliers. The development consists of 31 completed private villas, in a direct fronline golf and beach position, with prices starting at 2.75 million euros.
The project sits adjacent to the 5-star Fairmont La Hacienda Costa del Sol Hotel. Owners have access to the hotel’s 5-star services and amenities. These properties are freehold but carry AT (Apartamento Turístico) licenses, which limits their use strictly to tourism. Under this licensing framework, owners may use their property for up to 60 days per year and must participate in the rental program.
The 31 private villas include 30 residences with four or five bedrooms, alongside one individual nine-bedroom villa. The properties are distributed across two levels, with built surfaces ranging from 336 square meters to 1,149 square meters. The four-bedroom layouts span between 598 and 719 square meters, while the five-bedroom layouts measure up to 801 square meters.
The flagship nine-bedroom property is designated as the Presidential Villa and occupies over 1,000 square meters of built area.
All 31 villas have sea and golf views with selected units have also views of Gibraltar and Africa on clear days. They also feature landscaped gardens, private swimming pools, terraces, fully equipped kitchens, and distinct living areas. Selected layouts provide multiple private pools, hot tubs, or direct beachfront positioning.
Available amenities include a 24-hour concierge, valet parking, a Kids’ Club, and a spa with sea views. Chef Benito Gómez, holder of two Michelin stars, manages the dining services. Owners also receive access to the adjacent Hacienda Links Golf Resort, which features the Links and Heathland golf courses. This resort is ranked among the top 25 golf courses in Europe.
The project is likely to benefit from new flights expected at the nearby Gibraltar Airport. This follows the relaxation of border controls on July 15, 2026, which removes physical land checkpoints between Spain and Gibraltar. Passport and routine border controls will be completely cleared at the land fence, with all border checks relocated to Gibraltar’s airport and port.
