Spain Tourism Up 3.5%
Spain received 9.2 million international tourists in October 2025, a 3.2% increase over the previous year. The accumulated total for the first ten months reached 85.7 million visitors, a 3.5% rise, marking the highest figure in the INE’s FRONTUR series.
The United Kingdom was the largest source country, accounting for 1.84 million tourists (19.9% of the total) and showing a 2.8% year-on-year increase. Germany was second with 1.26 million (13.7%), experiencing a 3.1% decrease. France was third with 1.15 million (12.5%), increasing 0.1%.

Regional
Catalonia was the main destination in October, receiving 1.98 million tourists (21.4% of the total), an increase of 9.9%. The Balearic Islands were second with 1.57 million (17.0%), though visits decreased 1.7%. Andalusia was third with 1.42 million (15.4%), a 4.2% increase.
Other destinations included the Canary Islands (1.37 million, up 0.8%), the Valencian Community (1.12 million, down 1.0%), and the Community of Madrid (942,277, up 9.1%).
For the first ten months of 2025, the top three destinations were Catalonia (17.8 million tourists, up 1.0%), the Balearic Islands (15.3 million, up 2.5%), and Andalusia (13.0 million, up 6.9%).
Non-market accommodation types, including owned property or staying with relatives, saw the largest growth at 10.8%. Rental housing increased 8.9%.
